Christina and I

Christina and I are best friends. We are there for each other through thick and thin, but what I want to tell you is how some people can having so many similarities and differences but yet, still be best friends.

For example, when I get dressed sometimes I like to be sporty or girlie but, with Christina it’s either girlie or laidback. My favorite color is blue and Christina’s is purple, which is a great combination just like our friendship. I like to shop at Pacsun, Zumiez, and sometimes XXI (Forever 21), but she likes to shop at Wetseal, which is sometimes a problem when we go shopping together. I would love to have a dog, but sadly I can’t, but when I go over Christina’s house my wish comes true… but only for a temporary amount of time.

Although Christina and I have many differences, which may seem like a bad thing, we also have many similarities which is a good thing. For instance, we both love to play basketball and laugh. A really funny thing is that we are both easily entertained and every time we look at each other, we laugh. A sad thing is that we don’t have perfect 20/20 eyesight so we wear glasses. My glasses are brown with hearts and hers are purple. We are both kind of weird and unusual in our own special ways. On the bright side we are both human… I think. We both speak Dukrisidi, a foreign language from the ancient land of Dukris. We both speak it fluently.

Christina and I may seem weird, but no matter what comes between us we will always maintain our friendship or maybe even

make it stronger. And you know what they say the brains of two Dukrisidians are better than one.

The End
“Cousins 4 Life”

My cousin, Ariana and I have many differences and similarities.
First of all, we are similar because we both like the colors green and purple. We also have hamsters as pets and have younger brothers. We both have glasses too! Ariana is also Filipino and Irish like me! We are both dark-skinned and we both have brown eyes. We also have blue phones and our carrier is Verizon Wireless, and we bother LOVE Nike shoes. Our parents are both divorced, our dads are brothers, we both have glasses, we both have weird, but unique birthmarks, and we both love basketball. But, we also have many differences.
Ariana is 10 years old and I am 11 years old. Her birthday is June 21st, 1998 and mine is September 15th, 1997. Which means that she is in 5th grade and I am in 6th grade. She is just Filipino and Irish and I am Filipino, Chinese, and Irish. Her little brother is 3 years old and my little brother is a year old. I also have a stepfamily and she does not. She also has worst eyesight than me and has blue frames on her glasses and mine are dark brown. I also have a cat and fishes and she only has lots of hamsters. Her cell-phone is a flip-phone and mine is a swivel-phone. She is also shorter than me and she is more tomboyish. She also has shorter hair. Ariana lives in Brisbane and I live in San Bruno.
Like other people, even twins, they have lots of similarities and differences. Ariana is the best cousin anyone could ask for. She is one of my best friends and I love her like a sister.

Angelique, the Great Writer By: Jessica Lai

I flipped the last page of Angelique’s book. It was the first book that was published by her! It took me two whole weeks to finish the book. Angelique is a sixth grader in Miss Bailey’s class, and one of her favorite hobbies is, of course, writing!!!
Angelique is the type of writer that likes to write a lot because it helps her practice her writing skills. Always, when she has extra time, but has nothing to do, she just writes a very cool book!
Her favorite writing place is at the kitchen table because it has peace and quiet. She is comfortable because she has always worked there and is used to working at the kitchen table.
For her pre-write, she works on her comfy bed because her bed has fluffy pillows to help her relax so she can think better and faster. She likes to sink her back into the nice, soft, fluffy pillows that look like clouds in the sky. Sometimes she might even fall asleep on them!!!
Angelique works on her first- draft in her living room. If she is lucky, she may have the whole room to herself, without anybody bothering her! This helps her concentrate and prepare for a wonderful essay that may come any time in her future!
But, for her final daft, she writes in her lovely, quiet living room because it is all her style: a T. V., a bouncy couch, a smooth, wooden table, a nicely camouflaged carpet, and a lovely bed, incase she is tired and wants to take a nap. In fact, she has the whole room to herself! When she is alone, she can only think about writing because she has no little siblings bothering her thinking.
The most interesting person to write about is Rosa Parks. She likes to write about her because she is really brave. She is brave enough to stand up for black people’s rights! “Black people should be treated the same way as white people. They should not be treated differently. Just treat people the way you want to be treated!” Rosa Parks said.
Angelique also likes to write because it helps her practice her handwriting, writing skills, and helps prepare her for any writing assignments! Writing also helps Angelique by helping her thoughts grow.
Even you could practice your writing skills at home, school, or any where you enjoy writing in. Good luck! Think, write, edit, read, publish, and became an author! Have fun too.

Gabe the magic man

Gabe the magic man he’s all over the news, newspapers, and T.V. His famous trick is CLOSE UP EXTREME. Gabe likes to write wacky stories. He writes on his bed watching T.V. He writes his pre-draft in his living room where there is a big T.V. and it’s very messy. Gabe would write his first draft on his deck were there is his computer and messy drawers too. And his final draft would be on his bed where there’s a lot of pillows and where he said it’s cozy. He writes about extreme adventures. Maybe when he is an adult and he is a famous magic man he can watch himself on T.V., on his bed, while he writes.

Thank you for reading about my friend, Gabe. Maybe next I can write about you.

“Nickelodeon” By: Melissa M.

Nick walks in his room, grabs his journal, grabs his I-pod, and hops on his bed. Every night he writes stories about dragons and mythical creatures. He writes every night in his journal while listening to music.
His favorite place to write is in his room, on his bed, and somewhere where no one can bother him or disturb him. Or, he’ll write anywhere where it’s nice and quiet so he can concentrate.
His favorite topic to write about is about dragons and mythical creatures because when he was little, his family would always read to him, and because his favorite animal is a dragon too!! He also writes because he loves making up stories and reading it to his family.
Nick is inspired to write by reading or by watching TV. Or by researching about dragons or mythical creatures.
Nick is a very good writer he loves using his imagination. He is also very good at writing. But anyway, Nick is an amazing writer; he impresses everyone with his stories.
